FDA · Why unapproved products raise concernFor example, semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) names a medicine. ‘Help with weight’ is a claim about what it will do. Get a precise product name and the condition it is intended to treat; the word ‘peptide’ gives neither answer.

FDA · Match a medicine to its useWhat words can I use at a visit?
Ask: What is the medicine’s ingredient name? What condition would it treat? Why this product?
Write down the reply. An exact name is more useful than a package called ‘recovery’ or ‘wellness’.
